Turn on Windows Hello (face or fingerprint sign-in)
Faster than typing a password every time, and arguably safer.
- Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options.
- Pick “Facial recognition (Windows Hello)” or “Fingerprint recognition” depending on your hardware.
- Click Set up — you’ll be asked to verify with your password, then enroll your face or finger.
- Hold still and look at the camera (or place your finger) until it’s captured.
- Optional: enrol a second finger so you can sign in with either hand.
- From now on, signing in is just a look or a touch.
Still stuck after those?
