Forget a Wi-Fi network and rejoin

Useful when the saved password is wrong, or the network has changed authentication.

  1. Win+I → Network & internet → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks.
  2. Find the network in the list, click it → Forget.
  3. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray, find the network in the list of nearby networks.
  4. Click Connect, enter the password, tick “Connect automatically” if you want it to remember.
  5. If it still won’t join after a Forget, the issue is at the router. Escalate.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
