Add a network printer on Windows 11

If the printer is on the same network, Windows finds it automatically.

  1. Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
  2. Click “Add device”. Wait while Windows scans the network.
  3. Click the printer when it appears.
  4. Windows will download the driver automatically. Wait until it says “Ready”.
  5. Print a test page — right-click the printer → Printer properties → Print Test Page.
  6. Not finding the printer? Ask whoever owns the printer for the IP address, then choose “The printer that I want isn’t listed” → Add using IP address.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
