version 26.5.1 · Self-Help · Azure Virtual Desktop~5 min read

Connect to my Azure Virtual Desktop the first time

Two routes: a small Windows app or a browser. Both work; the app is smoother.

  1. App route (recommended): install “Windows App” from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Sign in with your work email. Your AVD workspaces appear automatically.
  3. Double-click your desktop or published app to launch it.
  4. Browser route: go to client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient, sign in with your work email.
  5. Your workspaces show as tiles. Click to launch.
  6. If nothing shows up, your account hasn’t been entitled yet — email Warren with the screenshot.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
