My camera isn’t working in Teams or Zoom
Almost always Windows privacy or another app holding the camera.
- Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → check “Camera access” is On.
- Below that, check Teams (or Zoom) is allowed.
- Close every other app that might be using the camera — Skype, browser tabs with a camera permission, Snap Camera, OBS.
- Restart Teams (Quit from system tray, reopen).
- If on a laptop with a hardware shutter, make sure it’s open.
- Still nothing? In Device Manager (Win+X → Device Manager → Cameras), right-click your camera → Disable, then Enable.
